Worktop to match flooring help!!

We’re redoing a bathroom and want a wood vinyl click in flooring! We’ve had a unit made that 2 sink bowls will sit on but want the top of the unit to match flooring(don’t want solid wood due to water!) However we can’t find any worktop the same colour or wood effect as any flooring!! Do you think we could cover a piece of wood/worktop with click in vinyl to match the floor?? Thank you

No - I think it will look as though you've put flooring on a piece of timber. Can you post a photo or link to the flooring? I bet we can find something to go with it.

I agree covering it won’t work. I would probably look for a plain white worktop eg a piece of quartz or corian would look lovely. that way it matches the sinks.

Does it need to be click-in vinyl? Why not adhesive vinyl wood effect tiles?

Just re-read your post. I wouldn't try to match the worktop to the floor at all (I'm aware it's a personal choice though and each to their own) but why not just get a quartz worktop?

I managed to stain some wood to match our floor by using a light oak & then a dark oak over it. You could try that & add osmo floor oil or something to it to seal it.

I wouldn't try to match them either - we have oak effect LVT and an oak worktops but didn't try to actually match them.

You can get LVT much cheaper than the one you've linked to. The depth of the wear layer is the important thing. That and good fitting.

Our builder recommended click in vinyl. It’s hard to think of any other type of top that will match the room! We have a large walk in rain shower which is tiled floor to ceiling with large beige/latte marble like tiles. The rest is just white walls with a handmade white unit housing a toilet and the sink will sit on it. I just don’t know what colour would go with it all if we didn’t do a wood top to match floor!! Guess we could look at a marble top that matches tiles but that sounds super expensive! Thank you for all your suggestions!
