Very happy with it so far, I give it a wipe over once a week ( other floors needed constant cleaning since could see every speck and were smeary). It is laminate since i was too scared of real wood and have had bad experiences of it.

This is ours as it was being laid. It is kahrs engineered herringbone. Most of the cost is the labour.

parador.de/en/catalogsearch/result/?q=trendtime+herringbone

It is a company called Parador, website above ( hope it works website is a bit rubbish on my ipad). Mine was trendtime 3 ( i think) which is the herringbone one and skyline pearl grey. They also have something called modular one which i was very tempted by as well since it is very strong, but i got stuck on wanting the herringbone.I am not in the uk but it is available there as well.
I am very happy with it since have made some bad choices in the past with floors.

Currently having ours fitted. We are having herringbone in the kitchen and planks in the same colour in the hallway. I wanted herringbone everywhere but the fitter said it might look a bit busy and it was so much cheaper which convinced me!

This is herringbone vinyl. Much more budget friendly!
Sorry for awful photo. This is the under the stairs cupboard where they popped a bit of left over vinyl for me for free!

It's this one.

We've also had bad experiences of laminate in the past, the floor lifting and bubbling where it's got wet and planks moving.
Also had a wooden floor with a real wood top veneer which scratched badly.
So far we are really happy with the vinyl.

Oh I'm so jealous. I love these floors and was desperate for this in our house. It would have looked amazing in our early Victorian hall.

Sadly DH can't get on board with it, he says it reminds him of the 70s/80s Confused

I'm sure it will look gorgeous OP!

I absolutely LOVE herringbone. I'd love it in my kitchen.

Worriedandonedge · 27/02/2021 11:30

Does anyone have a picture of the floor where you can see the whole room with the kitchen? I think that's what I need to show the other half along to get his but in

Not a great picture as we have just had it fitted but would recommend using the hashtag #herringbone on Instagram and you'll get loads! Good luck convincing him!
