What rug to match these Victorian tiles?

I am completely stuck on what style or colour rug would go with these Victorian tiles. I'm going to put one next to the table so a large square rug. I have a child so won't put one under the table as it will be stained within days.

Any ideas for a rug that would work? I've found the whole room so tricky to decorate as the floor is so distinctive. The rest of the room is grey, cream and pale wood.

I would keep in neutral and go with jute or something similar.

I think jute would work well too but if you wanted to make more of a statement I would consider a Persian style rug with red and black tones like this

My parents have similar Edwardian tiles in their kitchen, they have a jute rug from Ikea I believe.

I wouldn't personally have a rug beside a table or fireplace. The accident fear would live with me 24/7 and I'm pretty laid back.

Those tiles are amazing! I’d go Persian style rug in lighter greys and blues with that lovely worn down effect. It would add some texture to the room too and would sit really well against natural woods.
