Wavering on my living room paint colour - which one?!?

If you’re not a fan of strong colours this won’t be a dilemma for you Grin

I want to start painting our living room this weekend, we need to get at least one bit done so we can get the new radiators plumbed in and then the floor put back down and actually start living in there!

I thought I’d made the decision but now I’m wavering! These were the final 2 choices after about 8 A4 tester pages!

Photos show the same 2 options A (Blue Diamond 2) and B (Turquoise Copper) underneath what will be in a large (room width) alcove at the other end of the room - the paper and one of the blue paints, probably the darkest one. The colour we’re choosing here won’t really be next to the paper at all but in the same room.

A or B??? What do you think?

B is lovely, as is the wallpaper. Please do post a finished photo, sounds like it will be amazing!

I prefer the colour of A but B and the darkest blue go better with the patterned paper.

Love your fabric by the way.

Londonmummy66 · 19/02/2021 16:52

Definitely B and I think that B will go better with the very dark blue as it has a slightly green tone to it. Also A would be a lot bluer when up as blue always intensifies the more there is of it. I love your very dark blue too - my whole dining room is painted in a similar colour.

Tangledtresses · 19/02/2021 17:13

B as it picks up the fabric colours

Halfwreckedbykids · 19/02/2021 17:16

Love a but b is the best colour for you.

LemonViolet · 19/02/2021 17:33

B is bought!!!

B goes best with the wallpaper and I agree, the middle sample of the dark blue shades. The wallpaper is amazing. You will have to show us the end result.

I have gone from having an all-white house (downstairs) to a mix of Navy blues with copper mirrors and picture frames, and Art Deco antiques! You will be amazed at the transformation.

I have something similar to B on all 4 walls (white ceiling+ picture rail, oak floors).

I'd love to see the finished article!

B

@LemonViolet That paper is gorgeous! Where is it from?

Whineandwine · 03/03/2021 13:01

He he OP, we’ve just moved into a house with similar walls and I’m prepping them to paint white! If I had to choose I’d say A. (As someone who hates strong colours)
