Help me with DS’s nursery!

Going for a safari theme 🦒 What paint colours would you pair with this paper? 😊 have panelling and plain walls so 2 colours might be better 😊 Very lucky to also have space for a playroom which will be lovely and bright and stimulating so hoping for a really chilled calm space for his nursery. Furniture is white 😊

Open to suggestions of decor pieces too if you’ve come across anything particularly cool when shopping for your own DCs 😊

We looked at that wallpaper!

In the process of doing Ds room, he will be around 1 year when he goes in. We decided on very similar but woodland theme instead, and have gone with neutral white with hints of green, yellow and orange in other decor

@Caspianberg it’s a gorgeous paper! I’m thinking greens and greys to go with it and I’ve got my eye on a tall freestanding plush giraffe that might need to be bought 🦒🤣 ours will probably be around 8/9 months when he goes into his room.

@Squish3 - we actually decided against wallpaper in the end. Have spent the last two years taking ancient wallpaper off everywhere so couldn’t face doing it again!

We bought some wall decals from Etsy instead.
Bought a wicker lamp.
Large fake sheepskin type rug but low pile.
White Rabbit lamp and a toadstool lamp
Giant rattan pear basket and small apple for storage.
Dh has made some book shelves from old wood that I have been staining and painting.
Green Owl cushion
Need to buy a chair still

Have a nice handmade green patchwork playmat a friend made for him when he was born, I might try and wall hand it as art instead now.

@Caspianberg sounds lovely!! Etsy us so good for decor bits! I’ve hit my eye on curtain tiebacks and some lovely animal decor bits 😊 Oh fab!! I’ll have a look at those places! Some I already adore but some I haven’t heard of 😊

You could have a look on eBay/Etsy for door/drawer handles. I’ve just bought cute bear and rainbow ones for my kids wardrobes (planning to decorate their rooms this spring)
