What colour with cashmere kitchen?

We have a cashmere shaker kitchen and white quartz worktop - very similar to photo but our floor is a slightly darker wood. It's lovely and clean, fresh a new modern but the whole room just feels boring and lacking any sort of identity or personality.

Any suggestions for colour or pattern and how I am incorporate them? I'm not a massive fan of token accent pieces (mugs, toaster and kettle etc) so thinking bigger impact on either the walls or I have a dresser we can paint, rug, big artwork.

I'd think about shades of blue - navy and pale blue like the Mount on the counter.

Yep, pale blue.

My kitchen isn't dissimilar though we have lower units in a pale oak effect. We have accents in a strong teal colour - sofa, glass splashback, etc which lifts it quite well.

I like the idea of blue but leaning more towards navy than pale blue as I'm trying to avoid it looking wishy washy and think another pale colour might just blend into it. I might try and get a couple of colour tester pots and see how it works with various shades of blue. Unfortunately I just don't like real for some reason which is a shame as it's certainly got the boldness I want.

I think you need something with a bit of “murkiness” against the cashmere, so something like F&B Oval Room Blue rather than a “clear” dark shade. You could then add small highlights in a cherry red to tie the “pickiness” of the cupboards in, if it needed the lift.
I also think a dark aubergine colour or a deep pink or red would look good, and tie in with the pink tones in the cupboards, but those colours aren’t fashionable!!

Oval room blue is lovely definitely going to try a tester of that with it - thank you Smile

We have the johnsons dupe of ash grey. Really love it. More green than grey but I guess it does have more grey undertones than say ball green or olive.

Our builder has apparently chosen it for his hallway. It is probably one of the best choices in our renovation. I love it.
