Pimp my living room

What I've got: Fawn carpet, beech wood bookcase and TV cabinet, copper lamps, copper-based coffee table.

What colour velvet sofa and what colour to paint the walls please?

I like calm, cosy, non-clashing schemes [I'm thinking the main accent will be the sofa colour] and I dislike grey and brown.

I'd have a navy accent wall with some walls light. A nice stand out vase to go in the middle of the coffee table and maybe a copper feel mother and child lamp would set it off with a dark coloured sofa. I'd probably replace the rug with a thick white or cream shaggy rug unless you have carpet.

Maybe look at like a burnt orange colour for the velvet sofa and crown Matt natural hessian for the walls x

Thanks all so far. I have my lamps, coppery cushions and floor coverings in place, plus plants. Forgot to say I also need blinds, which I'll match with whatever wall colour I decide on.

Jewel teal plus pale pink walls was exactly what I was thinking but wouldn't pink be a bit bedroom-y?
