Decorating whole house - Help

Help, we moved house just before Christmas, to a home I absolutely love.
Every room needs redecorating (think 80s vibe), new flooring, kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace, and I just don't know where to start. I was so excited before we had to start making decisions, but now we can I'm so scared of making the wrong ones, we can'tafford to get it wrong. I really want the downstairs decor to flow, and for the house to have a lovely, welcoming feel. The lounge is NE facing so not very bright... I've trawled the Internet for ideas, spent a small fortune on magazines, but seem to find a problem with everything, from lighting, to it not fitting with my furniture etc if anybody has any thoughts, inspiration, advice etc I'm all ears!!

Don't worry about flow. Pick colours you like. Every room in my house is a different colour and each one individually makes me happy to look at and be in. I have no idea if they go together or not.

Things don't have to match, just to be what you feel happy with when you look at.

OP I have just finished two online courses with Sophie Robinson - the “Be your own interior designer” I did first, and then the “Colour Pschology” course. I’m planning a whole house redecoration, including new colour schemes, some new furniture/ artwork plus incorporating some of our existing furniture. I’ve been at my wits end how the hell I’m going to pull this off. Now I’ve done the courses - I have a very clear vision and know exactly how to go about it. For me they were worth every penny and I LOVED doing them
