Biscuit coloured paint

I know neutrals aren’t the height of fashion any more but in my head I’d like a biscuit shade of neutral in my hallway. I’ve got the perfect idea in my head but I haven’t found it in real life!
What I don’t want is: too pale, too magnolia, pinkish tones, too yellowey, cold, too dark or anything that resembles a shade of diarrhoea!

Just something nice and warm coloured that you can buy in b&q! Can anyone make a recommendation or have I basically ruled everything out! Thanks Smile

Dulux Egyptian cotton.

FuriousWithTheNHS · 14/02/2021 10:37

Farrow and Ball Savage Ground. Not too pale, not to dark, not too cold, no hint of pink, yes slightly yellow but then any biscuit colour is going to be slightly yellow.

Egyptian Cotton is more stone than biscuit.
I agree that any biscuit has yellow tones in it.

F&B Shadow White

luckiestgirl · 14/02/2021 16:05

I like dulux Muddy Puddle. Might be too dark for you though

jazzandh · 14/02/2021 16:08

F&B Oxford Stone. warm beige - goes with everything.

Rina66 · 14/02/2021 16:09

Dulux Nutmeg White - it’s not a white at all!

tappitytaptap · 14/02/2021 18:59

We have just used Wickes Butterscotch which is much more biscuity than it sounds and not ‘warm’ if that makes sense!

Wellysock · 14/02/2021 19:00

Dulux natural hessian is a gorgeous biscuit colour

Wellysock · 14/02/2021 19:00

Oh and Dulux nutmeg white too

DuckBatRabbit · 14/02/2021 19:41

F&B Joa's White

Serafinaaa · 15/02/2021 10:18

I've just used Crown Petit Palais 'Brioche' on a wall. It was an old can of paint though so I'm not sure if they still do it!

Lots of replies - thank you for not saying that biscuit is boring and I should go and buy some more trendy jewel colours! I need to have a good google through all the suggestions but I have ruled a few out already: Eygptian Cotton lovely shade but yes a bit stony/cold. Natural Hessian - had this in my old house so want something different. Nutmeg White - got this already in a bedroom and bloody love it but again want a change. Yes Muddy Puddle a bit too dark. Stony Ground (why do I always like the overpriced f&b shades?) looks perfect in the tin but the images of it on walls look a bit yellow but the best contender so far! Off to do some more googling of your suggestions! Grin

I came on to suggest this! Have it in our lounge, lovely colour

Johnstone's taupe delight. A rich neutral with no hints of yellow or pink.

CoolShoeshine · 15/02/2021 22:30

I’ve just seen Farrow and Ball’s colour of the year ‘Brave Ground’ which looks similar to what I want - might get a test pot of that one! Only problem is that their test pots become very expensive the more you try!

Unless you want the mineral effect of genuine F&B, why don't you colour match?
InTheKitchenAtParties · 15/02/2021 23:01

Good news @CoolShoeshine 'brave ground' is Dulux, so not so spendy

NotMeNoNo · 15/02/2021 23:04

Farrow and Ball String and Matchstick are both nice warm cream type colours without being too yellow.
Isn't there anything in the Dulux cream colours?

Delighted to break it to you, OP, that predictions are 2021 will herald the return of warm tones (Little Greene have released a whole range called Stone), so you’re actually extremely fashion forward. Grin

CoolShoeshine · 16/02/2021 18:55

Yay! Ahead of the trend for once!
