What floor with marble walls?

Shower is going to be those large marble slabs to the top - no shower tray, so although enclosed, a kind of wet room floor. Marble will be half way up the walls with paint above - either dark blue/stiffkey type or possibly dark green. Ironmongery all brushed brass.

I can't get my head around the floor. Originally, i had imagined marble floor as well, but those tall marble slabs are not suitable for floor so I'd be trying to match the slabs with marble tiles and I think that will look awful. It's got to be suitable for a wet room time shower.

Real marble in the shower? You’re braver than me.

I would suggest large tiles in a neutral colour that goes with the veining of the marble. Have a look at Sistem B by Marazzi for example - we have this in Grigio Medio on the floor and in the shower, and then we have marble mosaic on the walls. The Grigio Medio matches one of the (many!) colours in the marble.

Dark grey matt tiles with grey grout. If the veins in the marble are grey.

Slate

@waltzingparrot. we are doing slate in the ensuite so wanted to mix it up a bit.

We put the marble on the floor too. It’s worked well. Why can’t you use it on the floor?

I think I would go with marble tiles on the floor as well. I have done this in my bathroom recently though all the tiles are the same size. Whatever you do will be a different size anyway.
