Where can I get a nice dressing table?

I'd really like to treat myself to a new dressing table for getting ready in the mornings, but I'm feeling pretty uninspired with my google search results, so thought I'd ask Mumsnet home gurus!

Criteria would be as follows:

Budget - around £300, but could increase for something truly lovely
Colour - don't mind; maybe white, or a nice pale oak (would decorate the room to suit)
Drawers - ideally it would have drawers big enough to stash a hairdryer and other bits in
Mirror - not necessary as I do have a nice tri-fold one, but if it comes with a mirror, grand
Stool - ideally included, but not totally necessary as I could buy one to match

A major result would be a light-up mirror that gives daylight-bright light, but that's maybe asking too much!

Any ideas . . . ? Thanks in advance!

I would go vintage - via eBay or FB marketplace. For your budget you could get something really nice and the quality would be 10x better than modern high street furniture

Have a look on Etsy. There are quite a few makers selling modern furniture that sounds similar to what you want, and some of them will customise to your specific dimensions.

I love cotswold company and have always found their products and customer service to be great. Depends what style you are looking for though?

Have a look for a refurbished Stag Minstrel dressing table on Etsy. Some sellers will also re-paint to your colour scheme (including the stool and new material). I did this and I love it, £300 all in for mine.

I always shy away from ebay - not sure why, agree that it might be worth a look. Etsy could be a good shout - never even thought of it.

Cotswold Company - don't think I have anything from there, again, will have a look, thank you.

Stag Minstrel - never heard of this, has definitely piqued my curiosity so I'm off to nosey!

Thank you so much, everyone - this has refreshed my enthusiasm!

I would definitely go antique/vintage. There are lots of online antique dealers if you google, if you’re not keen on eBay. Having said that, I’ve bought some gorgeous pieces on eBay, including a fabulous Victorian mahogany Narnia wardrobe.
