For hall, stairs and landing. Needs to be hardwearing and can't be a light colour - but what colour?? We've had mid-blue for over 10 years and fancy a change - but don't like fussy patterns or anything likely to look dated before the end of its life... What have you got that you're happy with and would recommend? Btw our walls are neutral/off-white so anything will go, really. Smile

How about something like aubergine or do you think you'd get tired of it? Failing that, a navy blue would be just as striking but more timeless?

Not dark as it will show the tiniest bit of fluff, no too light as it can look grubby very easily . Go for a medium colour with a fleck. A dark oatmeal or an olive colour?

Mid grey

Beige. With a green undertone. Not pink undertone, pinky beige is hard to match and will limit your options.

Grey is already dated. Dark colours show lint. Really light colours show dirt and patterns date.

A decent 80/20 wool twist can last for 20 years, so I’d go with boring old beige.

I don’t like green or grey and beige is just too big a risk. Navy maybe, though...am used to every bit of fluff etc. showing and having to vacuum frequently - a lesser evil than repeatedly dealing with spills and dirty marks.

I'm in the market for a new hall stairs and landing carpet and am considering something like this, a kind of tiled effect, not plain but not a fussy pattern?

Oh, the link hasn't pulled through my selection, I was looking at Teal Hexagonal

This one Toorapid? I think that’s nice!
