I have a teal wall in the living room with all the rest just cream. Every other wall in the house is magnolia other than my sons which is grey.
My rooms all run off the long hallway but I’m looking for a way for a colour to tie in everywhere. I’m sick to death of magnolia. I have a brown suite, a brown bed , cream bathroom suites which were not really in a position to change to white yet bush I wish we could! Please help. I see houses on tv which have colours between separate living room and hallway that just seem to work and look really nice

A split complementary palette gives you 3 Hue Families to choose from.

Any colour you like within them, for paint, furnishings, floor coverings, textiles, accessories, art.

I just don’t know where to put them or how. I’m rubbish with matching colours

I'd take a wall end and paint it a certain colour. Then I'd probably put a complementary colour on one wall if each room.

I love arranging houses. Every corner is an opportunity!! Try buying wooden picture frames and painting them with the colours you've chosen and putting them in collages. Use shelves and trailing plants. Make displays, put things in size order up one end of shelves and then at the other.

I had the same when I moved in, beige carpets, magnolia walls and white woodwork.Confused

My kitchen is now grey tile floor, white walls and worktop, pale oak cabinets (all neutral) but added a turquoise wall behind the cabinets, so a limited amount is visible.

Oak and zinc breakfast table (neutral) with bright orange habitat chairs. It cheers me up every day.

Someone I know has a cream bathroom suite and chose a 'beach' theme which worked brilliantly. She replaced the cheap white tiles with tiling that looked like bleached wood, and had seashells and deckchair-striped towels.

I'd love to come and do yours!!!!

You can send me a video of each room.if you like....have you got money to spend? Painting a room can cost £80 or so....
