Just as the title says really. We need to replace the curtains in our rented flat, spec agreed with the landlord. The problem is I cant find any the right depth, its for double doors that lead to the balcony.

Can I wonder web a hem on a curtain to make them shorter?

Of course you can. You might find over time that it comes a bit unstuck and you have to iron them again to re glue them. You could even use it to put the hem in place then hand sew the hem for extra hold.

I have been known to wonder web using my hair straighteners rather than an iron on a skirt hem.

I just bought curtains that were too long but couldn’t get the right drop, bespoken was too pricey. Local seamstress shortened them to the desired drop for £20

On the whole, if they are NOT eyelet curtains, it is easier to remove the curtain heading, cut off the excess from the tops and re-sew the heading tape.

(I have only once attempted a curtain hem with webbing tape and the 'hang' was not good.)
