As above really, looking to get a new one but I’ve never had to buy one before so I don’t know who is reasonable but good quality!

I got my quartz countertop from a local company (in the North East). Excellent value and I love it.

Granite from a stone merchant, I picked my slab and they cut and fixed.

And IKEA laminate. So cheap and is perfectly fine.

Depends what kind of worktop you're after.

If you're looking for solid wood worktops (not veneer or laminate) then Worktop Express is amazing. So many choices of finishes, colours, edge profiles etc. And very very reasonable. And from what I remember they send you the offcut bits of wood for free which we turned into chunky shelves. You just need to ensure you get the measurements right!

I got my quartz from a local stone yard place. Have used them a few times. It's good because if you're looking for stone you can see a big slab rather than just a sample.

I have a builder friend who gets nice cabinets but says the wickes wood block tops are great and he’d thoroughly recommend so he saves a packet putting them on the better cabinets.

Wooden work surfaces from ikea as suggested by our joiner.

Previously I’ve had perfectly good laminate work surfaces from B&Q.
