Kitchen 2021

So excited we are getting a new kitchen this year. Ours is peeling and horrible.
I am not very knowledgeable about these things and want to future proof our kitchen.
We are going for a wood floor. Is herringbone still in fashion?
Should we go for grey cabinets or a pastel colour?
Matt or gloss?

I have looked online but I don't understand Pinterest!

Learn to use Pinterest. It is very easy. Picture it in the same way you would a pinboard and magazines. Then you start, enter things you like into the search box 'light kitchen' then look through the images that come up. If there is something you like then click on the image and choose 'pin'. Now it will be on your virtual pinboard. So just keep building up images of what you like so that they are all on your lovely new kitchen pinboard of idea. I spent most of this week doing this and it is going to be so useful when I come to making decisions.

Also go to floorplanner and had a play until it makes sense. Will allow you to move stuff around to your heart's content and make sure everything actually fits.

My plan is light green units, light quartz top, light engineered wood. I would like parquet flooring but our house is too old for it to look right.

I can also recommend homebunch.com. All the beautiful colours used in every space, along with worktops, tiles etc are named.

Also look at the Colorography Lab at The Land of Color .com
to compare detailed attributes of Benjamin Moore + Farrow & Ball paint colours.

Ok. Thanks. I will give it a go! Grin
