My lovely father is currently making my teenage dd a wooden curved corner desk. She is really artistic and I have told her that she can paint the top however she likes.
Any tips on the best thing to use as a base coat and then to varnish over the top to protect it. It will be plain untreated new wood and she will be painting it in acrylics.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
