I am in a quandry... have this wallpaper for feature wall in conservatory. Cannot decide which paint to do rest of walls under the windows... im leaning towards a clotted cream... husband disagrees. I think green would be too much and grey wouldn't suit. Any wonderful eyed designers able to help? I am a bit stuck what to do with it now.

Is the wallpaper a pale pink colour? If so, I'd take it to have that exact shade colour matched and then have lots of plain green and gold accessories. I stress plain because then the wallpaper is the feature iyswim.

Like bluesheep, I’d paint it the same as the wallpaper background colour.
I agree with you that green would be a bit much.

A proper colour on the woodwork always looks more expensive and more done. But if you are faint of heart about lime green (who isn't) ramp up a couple of tones darker than the background pink and use that.

Or use the branch colour - burgundy black from the looks of the pic - green and black work unusually well in a small room. But chipped black looks terrible, so unless you like painting I'd stick to a fuller pink.

Get samples mixed first and have fun at the weekend.

I would never have thought of those - thankyou so much! I will be trundling off to homebase for a colour match x
