Pale pink/white paint help

I am thinking of getting round to decorating my office finally and am thinking I would quite like a very pale pink/white with some pink in it.

I will need to get some testers but anyone got an idea what to go for? It is so hard to tell online and half of them look almost purple on my phone screen!

The room in question is small but gets plenty of sun in it so something that has a nice warm pink hue in natural light would be perfect.

Also not bothered about which brand as long as it is easy enough to buy! Smile

If you are looking for a delicate, light pink then Jasmine shimmer from the Dulux Light and Space range is lovely. We have it in our hall and it’s very subtle.
I found it hard to find a pink which didn’t scream children’s bedroom. You’ll definitely have to try a load of tester pots because they look so different on the walls compared to online. Good luck!

Thanks! Some good ideas there. Smile

Definitely trying to avoid the childs bedroom vibe which is why I am leaning more towards a very pale one rather than a stronger pink colour.

I did find myself looking at some wallpapers today too but not sure if I can do with the effort of wallpapering. Just painting is so much easier!

Peignoir Farrow and Ball looks lovely.

bravotango · 28/01/2021 20:33

Colour courage Marsh Mellow is what we went for in our spare room - it's definitely pale pink, but with enough of a greige base that it's not sweet or child's bedroom-y

rosegoldwatcher · 28/01/2021 20:40

Craig and Rose Chinese White.

I have this on my bedroom walls. It looks white/off white but when compared with the brilliant white on the coving it definitely has a very pale pink undertone.

The picture of it online is not accurate though - it looks beige on screen.

Have a look at Dulux Mellow Mocha.

Zinnia · 28/01/2021 22:52

I came on to suggest F&B Peignoir, beautiful colour

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 28/01/2021 22:55

Our bathroom is peignoir and looks great

Elle by Crown, A Stitch in Time is a gorgeous pale pink. It looks almost white in the tin but it's a lovely subtle colour once on the wall. Sophisticated and elegant.

Solina · 29/01/2021 08:18

Really like the peignor and a stitch in time from what I can see on screen. Not sure on mellow mocha, might be too much for what I have in mind. Have seen few others too whilst browsing that look nice. Think I am almost ready to pick my samples now!

Great White by farrow and ball would be good.

Trisolaris · 29/01/2021 08:27

I went for Pink Essence by Shaw paints - I wanted exactly what you are saying - slightly warmer than white but not ‘little girl pink’ and this was perfect. Shaw has a great range and I tried out loads to find my favourite.

I've just put Farrow and Ball Pink Ground up the back wall of my staircase, and I absolutely love it.

I'm not an F&B super-fan/snob - I usually use them as a starting point to find a similar shade in a cheaper brand, but with Pink Ground I just couldn't quite find anything that was just as nice.

It's got a lot of yellow in it, which makes it a more grown up shade. It makes me happy every time I see it.

SollaSollew · 29/01/2021 15:34

Another one for Peignoir just done a tester and it's very light/grey pink and not at all girly, am going to use it in our main bedroom.

Jemimapuddleduk · 01/02/2021 10:48

Dulux nude glow is beaut.

Crosstrainer · 01/02/2021 10:50

Agree with @Chronicallymothering re Great White by Farrow and Ball. It has just a hint of pink; it’s lovely.

Secretsout · 01/02/2021 10:50

I have F&B Peignoir in my kitchen and I still love it two years on. It's gorgeous.

floppybit · 01/02/2021 11:10

I have about 20 pale pink testers on my wall and the best so far is Pink Alabaster by valspar

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 03/02/2021 12:01

Have you chosen yet, OP?

I've just painted my bedroom with Dulux Blush Noisette Number 4. It's a lovely soft pink. Picture doesn't really capture it because the sun wasn't shining.

I agree that Peignoir is also beautiful

Yes I have decided to go with F&B pink ground which is quite a bit more stronger colour than I originally thought I wanted. It was a toss between that one and peignor but I like the orange tone in the pink ground. Now I just need to actually get painting!

Yes, it has a lovely peach tone.
Good choice Smile
