Coving? Yes or No?

Is coving old fashioned? We are redecorating pretty much every room in a house we are going to move in to and I'd assumed we would put up coving but I've looked at some virtual show home tours for ideas snd can't see any. Is it outdated? Or have they just cut corners?

I love coving, been in new builds for 5 years now and hate rooms without it...definitely get it

We are lucky enough to be able to live in our current house while we do up our next house. Our current house is a 60's house too and we have coving here, it's the same as what we want to use at the next house, just plain coving.
