Short children's beds

My son's bedroom is 193cm long (195cm without the skirting boards). Does anyone know of any children's beds which will fit a 190cm mattress which are 193cm long or less?

I've seen some "shorty" beds which would fit but would really like a proper single bed as my son is tall for his age and I want the bed to last for a few years.

I think you’d need a divan base. Most should fit as they should be the same dimensions as a standard single mattress.

You may not have enough space for a headboard mounted to the bed, but it is possible to walk mount most if needed.

Something like this

Thank you both, divan beds don't usually come up in the kids sections so I had forgotten about them. It looks like buying a bed won't be the headache I thought it would be afterall.

We had this for our daughter. Exactly the same room width and fit perfectly wall to wall.

Thanks for the link. Did you go for the square legs?

Yes, we went for square legs. I was very pleased with the quality for the price, and she had plenty of storage space underneath.
