Door Mats

We’ve just had a beautiful new hard wood floor put down in our hallway....and we need to protect it by the front door (we have a porch too).

Do you have any recommendations of good, quality, pretty (ideally washable) door mats?

Have you looked at Hug Rugs? They are machine washable and come in pretty designs, and are good for trapping dirt

Turtle mats. I was mine very regularly and it comes up new. I've had mine for 6 years so far.

I also have a John Lewis "fake" turtle mat which is also going strong but starting to look tired.

I prefer the turtle mat.

Another turtle mat fan, I had one that disintegrated a bit and was under a year old and they replaced it for me with no fuss. I do have about ten of them though and wash them every couple of days as so much mud in my area that gets traipsed in.

Hug rugs are ace we have four which cope with a muddy dog and two muddy children. You can quite often get 10-15% off too!

There's also Muddle Mats which are similar to Hug Rugs but less expensive. We have a couple and love them
