Hello, please ignore the awful frame it currently sits in.

I have attached a photo of the wall it will be hung on.

Options for frame are white or light wood effect. I think white might get lost because the painting is light and so are the walls. I'm leaning more towards a light wood effect. The room is an open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. I have a few wooden pieces of furniture such as a dresser, a standard lamp, dining table etc. So thinking that it would tie in with those things and also focus the painting more.

I seem to be incapable of making a decision.

Thanks 😊

Could you take it to a framer and get their suggestions? I know they're probably not open at the moment though...

I have had a few little pieces of original art framed professionally and it transformed them, and the framer took one look at them and knew what would look good and how many layers of mount would look best.

Yes. Light wood would be lovely.

Slime flat wooden frame in White with silver guilding/paint on the front edge to frame the painting

If you use eframe you can upload a picture of your painting and see what different frames look like with it. I would personally add a mount as well.

I would keep the gold...

goingtosnow · 17/01/2021 10:49

Or perhaps repaint it in better gold as this looks quite dark
