Brushed brass splash backs

I've just ordered a long-awaited kitchen and I'm contemplating brushed brass splash backs. Does anyone here have them already and are they a nightmare to keep clean please?

They looks gorgeous but I can imagine are the type of thing that only look got for approx three seconds after installation. I have brushed brass taps that I try to close my eyes to every time I use them. They looked amazing, till I actually started using them. They take a lot of cleaning and care. In hindsight I would have just gone for ‘brass coloured’ and saved myself the upkeep!

We're renting while our house is being renovated and this house we're staying in has them. I'm really not keen at all and they're impossible to keep clean, every tiny splash makes a mark that you CANNOT wipe clean without special brass cleaner.

Thank you. I worried about that but I just wondered if anyone has any experience of them.

Thanks froggydoggy, I'll think again perhaps.

No worries.
We're going for a speckled mirrored backsplash by rough old glass, easier to clean with a similar look.
