I bought my husband this for Christmas and he's really pleased with it - it gives a lot of light. I guess it depends whether you're looking for style rather than function though; it's not very 'pretty'.

Do you have a style in mind? Budget? Max/ min size?

I have this which I love with a Phillips hue lightbulb in so I can dim it as it’s very bright!

Thanks knitted definitely going for function. I don’t think that’s too ugly though!

Zinnia I’m open on style as I’m prioritising light so I can work round whatever light we get.

This. It's beautiful and gives wonderful light. Dimmable and no dark patches or shadows which you get with a lot of shades. Pricey though!
