Radiator's don't look the nicest so I bought a cover and painted it to match my walls.

Radiator covers or not

I think in the right space, a white radiator cover can look really nice. I have one in my bedroom (sorry no pic right now) and it's against a white wall so doesn't look out of place. I've got a couple of candles on the top that tie in the grey and silver of the rest of the room. I'm wanting to get ones for my living room and dining room - again, just white as think they'd look smarter than the actual radiators.

Don't they reduce the effectiveness of heating the room. I wouldn't be putting covers over mine. Rather buy new ones that look stylish

They block the heat, so no I don't have them

They reduce heating efficiency by about a million per cent. I've had them and wouldn't get them again.

I've noticed no difference to the temperature of my bedroom since fitting the cover a couple years ago. The gaps in the cover allow plenty of heat to get through.

I do find my room that doesn't have radiator covers to be warmer than the other rooms that do.

I have stuck to plain white and think they look quite dated. Not necessarily ugly but I would prefer not to have them (if I could be bothered to get new, nice looking radiators).
They are quite useful though, for hiding dusty radiators and the ledge is convenient.
