Hello

My existing gorgeous velvet sofa has collapsed internally (don't ask!) and I'm looking for. a corner sofa replacement.

Access is a bit of an issue, so our current one is modular. We are looking for something more structured and supportive with a fixed back and also maybe fixed seat cushions.

I was looking at the Loaf soufflé modular in velvet. Does anyone have any experience of this or any other ideas.

I have attached a pic of my room with the broken sofa in case this helps. Also, a pic of the modular Loaf soufflé and a colour scheme I was thinking of, with the sofa being green and the footstool yellow.

Huge thanks!

Oh, and here's a pic from the other aspect of the room.

I'm afraid I have no suggestions but just wanted to say what a lovely home you have Smile

Aaw thanks. It's an old granite manse in rural Scotland (hence the Harris tweed cushions) so you get much more for your money here.

Well we have a sofa.com sofa and the quality is great. It's a Stella. They do a few modular styles. Loaf always look too soft and unsupportive to me,

You can fiddle around with the modules, to get the shape you want.

Ikea sofa covers

The only (big) problem with fixed covers are spills.
I’ve got an ancient Ikea corner sofa (that won’t die), so I’ll be treating it soon to a new cover and legs.

I have a Loaf sofa (Schmoozer) and it's so comfortable. The first few days we had it, we fell asleep on it.

You do have to beat up the back cushions regularly though as they're feather filled. But the comfort is very much worth it!

It's also quite low to the ground so be aware of that in case anyone has mobility issues.

Thanks everyone.

I'm still erring towards the loaf soufflé.

What about this colour scheme? We are prob buying three items: a sofa, footstool and small armchair.

Do these colour complement each other or are they too similar? The background is the wall colour and the floor is mid oak. I'm minded to get the armchair in the green and the sofa and footstool in the blue. Any advice?

Thanks!
