Hi Fellow MNs,

I have been waiting for DS to grow up and now he is 5 i am planning to get rid of old sofa left by previous home owners. My issue is currently we have a 3+2 and in the corner we have the main heating rail. The room is quite big and another one is in far off corner. I am dying to get a corner or chaise all my life, but this would mean heating rail will be covered by the sofa. Anybody faced similar issue, does the room feels colder ? i also thought of covering the space left b etween sofa and wall (due to heating being in between) by picture ledges like IKEA. Anybody thinks i am being an idiot and should just go for 3+2 rather than corner/chaise one :( ???

Our new corner sofa sat in front of the radiator. It really did block the heat. We had to get rid of it, as soon as we moved it the heat radiated into the room.

I have two big sofas and the only way they will fit in my room is to have one infront of the radiator , the sofa is higher by about 5 inches and longer by about 3 foot so it blocks all the sodding heat , I have the sofa pulled away from the wall a bit at one end ( its in a recess at the other end so I cant move that end )
So I would not buy another one like that .

Oh no ! Did you guys thought about replacing it with a vertical radiator by any chance, that could be my last resort. ☹️

I rent so that would not be a option for me , could you have yours moved to a another wall ?
