Unique spare bedroom ideas

I'm after ideas of ways to best utilise a smallish spare bedroom (it is just about big enough for a double bed)
I will need it to be able to fit 2 guests to sleep in from time to time but wondering about any unique pieces of furniture I could put in there to maximise space and storage and also maybe multiuse the room?! Any ideas welcome!

What else would you want to use the room for? Ikea used to sell a white daybed that converted into a double bed for occasional use.

I'd put in a narrow single daybed with a trundle bed underneath, or a small double. A bed that fold flat up on to the wall might be an option.

Maybe a compact ladder desk or console table so that the room could be used as a study.

You need to keep furniture to a minimum so a storage bed might be an idea.

In these strange times this might be a better option Grin

@Hapixmas we need a diagram, to show us the dimensions of the room, as well as placement of doors/windows.

Look online at wallbeds also called Murphy beds.

You need a study bed! I've also seen dining tables that convert to beds (Tabledbed!) as well. Basically there is a world of multipurpose furniture you didn't know you needed!

Study bed would probably be my idea of choice if window and door placement allow. I think you'd have to take big screens off the desk before you folded it down though so it would depend how regular the visitors are.

Studybeds are amazing. My sister had one and it was fab - worked well for both its purposes.

We’ve got a similar spare room and find hat it doesn’t get used very much. If I was redoing it I’d get a sofa bed and either a small tv or bookshelf so that I could use the room as a snug when guests not staying.

We have an Ikea corner sofa spare bed. It’s been an excellent but, I can’t remember what it’s called. it’s lovely to have another sitting area (escape noisy kids !!) The other good thing is the seat lifts up so all the bedding can be stored out of the way.

Is a study bed a Murphy bed and desk combined? They look great.

Or a normal sofa bed to give you an extra cosy room.

I've got a habitat kota sofa bed for guests with the wicker baskets underneath for storage, and I'd go wall shelves for storage. could you fit a ladder type desk in there?
