Can anyone recommend similar dining tables to this please?

We have somehow never replaced the practical but not glamorous ikea dining table we got when we first moved here 18 years ago (even though I have ruined it by painting it badly a few times and have to keep it covered with oilcloth table cover. I crave a farmhouse table like the one I grew up with. I like this one but it's out of stock and possibly a tad big though not far off. Has anyone seen any lovely ones, ideally less rather than more expensive as I will have to save for it. Thank you

this is fairly similar, and depending on the size you choose could be less expensive x

I don't think you'll get much cheaper in that chunky farm house style. Plus you'll need the chairs and bench ordered as well.

May be better off sticking with IKEA - particularly if you need to save and the kids are still in wrecking ball/nail varnish stage.

If your house is anything like mine, anything "nice" is marked within hours of being under the roof.

Wow! Those Etsy options are a fantastic shout @sleepismysuperpower1

They are v nice - thanks, and lots of flexibility with size. Timeforabiscuit I am pleased to confirm that we are through the glitter and sticking stage and it's only myself likely to cause it any harm now. And I am trying hard to be a grown up! I have looked in ikea and nothing I like enough.

OP! I don't understand, the one in your link is not out of stock. I've just added it to my basket... What am I missing?

Timeforabiscuit · 29/12/2020 19:09

Grin glad to hear that! I chickened out and went back to IKEA for a light beech table rather than a £££ one - one week after delivery, takeaway curry bag leaked all over it.

I have never been so happy with a gently fading curry stain :)

Can all be bought separately.

Or as a set

ScrapThatThen · 29/12/2020 19:18

Thanks goodbye I'm thinking it might be worth looking separately for chairs and tables. That table has lovely clean lines, size looks good.

I love the Cotswold co. one. Yes, you can buy the chairs/benches/table separately. I have lots of furniture from there and it is lovely.

@Timeforabiscuit they're lovely aren't they! i'm thinking about replacing our current dining table, but I think I'm going to wait until we are firmly out of the glitter and glue stage!
