Small space between sofa and wall

A bit of an interior design question, because it's just not something that I'm good at.
What you fill a 24cm space between sofa and wall with? I'm thinking a floor lamp and a very narrow end table just to put drinks on, but it's difficult finding one narrow enough to fit in the space.
Also, the sofa has chrome legs and edging. It makes it difficult to find a floor lamp because all the nice ones I've seen are gold. I love this one but I think it will clash with the silver edging.
West Elm Any suggestions?

It's a very awkward space to fill. Would you not be better off moving the sofa against the wall? Can you upload a picture of the space so that we can have a look?

It's a corner sofa so it's up against the other wall

If a floor lamp doesn't fot maybe a fake plant would.look.good?

Put a shelf on the wall instead of a table?

TheQueensCousin · 19/12/2020 08:50

Can't you centre the sofa between the two walls and maybe put an over arching lamp in one corner over the sofa. This would look more balanced in my opinion. I'll try to find a lamp pic to show you what I mean. 24cm is very small a gap to fill.

choosername1234 · 19/12/2020 09:11

Is it a very "visible" gap or mainly hidden by the sofa? If it's quite hidden you may have more luck finding a small cardboard box which fits, you could then cover this with something to make it look more like a table

It may be worth looking at cd storage towers - you could get a small one that might fit the gap.
I still don't understand why the sofa can't be pushed up against both walls?

Something like this magazine rack/side table would work

@TheQueensCousin it's a corner sofa so can't be centred. It's against the corner on the other end.

@FatGirlShrinking that's the kind of thing I need. Thanks

I would get a floor lamp behind it (the base of the lamp would fit under the sofa.

If you can stretch the gap an extra 2cm to 26 cm, you could put one of these ikea tv benches in the gap.

I have one at the end of a sofa in a narrow gap. Works perfectly for a pot plant, lamp and space for a cup of tea.

Try looking on Home Sense or TK Maxx, I saw some slim end tables there last week

Thisismynewname123 · 20/12/2020 08:10

@Proudboomer yes, sonwrhing like that. I'll check what I can find on wayfair.

@AlannaOfTrebond can't stretch the space unfortunately! It's between sofa arm and wall, so nowhere else for a couple of extra centimetres to come from!

Let’s have a photo!

Wayfair have narrow side tables

KeyLimePies · 23/12/2020 09:44

Can you post a pic of the current layout? What’s your budget for side-table and lamp?
