I love the flooring and don’t want to cover it with carpet. But... I dislike the colour. It’s the traditional honey colour. Has anyone had success with sanding and painting? I was thinking maybe a white wash to give it a modern edge

We have the similar flooring, I'm hoping we can get someone it to sand them so they look less orange. If you do yours let me know how they turn out.

It depends on the wood, if it’s like a mahogany that’s naturally dark you’ll struggle but best option is to get it sanded down and then see, ideally if you have a corner or area not so obvious you could just try a very small patch before committing

I had my original parquet flooring sanded, restained in a more modern colour and varnished. As it was a really worn orange brown colour and it badly needed some love ... popped some pictures there for you for an idea of the result 😊
