I had a Burford from Howdens like that in my last house

Lonecatwithkitten · 06/12/2020 08:07

My last house had done like that from Optiplan.

Could be anywhere but there are myriad companies that will manufacture replacement kitchen doors to fit your units. You don't need to worry about getting them from the same manufacturer.

Sorry belatedly realised you just want to replace one cupboard - to be honest even if you did find the exact same range, with a white finish like that the new door will appear whiter than the old ones and really stand out. Is the old door completely irreparable?

Alternatively as the pp said because the colour will have faded how about getting the same shaker style, but in a totally different colour for all the row of units on the one you're replacing?

Thanks all. It's not so much that it's irreparable as the condition is still fine but more that we need to change it for a smaller version as it's the sink cupboard and we'd like to swap our basic sink for a bell sink which will sit deeper if that makes sense.

It looks similar to our ones from magnet www.magnet.co.uk/kitchens/all-kitchens/dunham/

Could be from anywhere to be honest. I've got a couple of boxes of those handles in the garage from the last kitchen we had.

Ah I see your problem then...

How many doors are there in that run to the right of your fridge? It feels wasteful to replace a load of doors for the sake of 1 (though you could Freecycle them), but if it's only 4 or 5 in total, going with a different colour altogether would be the most visually satisfactory option.

There's a chance you could paint them but I'm not an expert in priming/painting laminate cupboards so approach with caution.

There's one other option which may not be to your taste but would be a super-cheap solution and that's to replace the door with a curtain. V popular in Scandinavia. You might need a spare as a drape below a sink likely to need washing fairly frequently if you're anything like as messy washing up as my husband me. Get a set of clip curtain rings and a black or stainless steel rod - you could even use a large tea towel if the space is small enough.
