Is a rug in a bathroom a terrible idea?

I can't bring myself to have wall to wall carpet- although I admit I would like to!

We have fake wooden floor.
My feet get cold, especially when I need a wee in the night ( most nights!).

A washable bathmat I'd too tiny.

Is a rug a bad ideas?
We can still use a bathmat at the side.

Tell me it's ok!

You don't say what size you need but I have this which is 110 x 170. Soft and easily washable. www.homescapesonline.com/cotton-chenille-striped-rug-blue-beige-purple-grey-natural-stripes.html

It wouldn't have to be an actual bathmat so long as it was easy to wash and dry. A search for 'washable rug' suggests there are quite a lot available.
