Anyone used mdf panelling ?

I have a very small entrance lobby to my 1880s stone cottage. Just enough room to hang coats and a small shoerack. Because it's quite tight in terms of space the paintwork has marked and it now looks quite dingy. Just wondered about attaching some mdf panelling to waist height to make it wipeable and less prone to scrapes and scratches. I've seen some on wickes website that looks quite nice. Anyone used it ?

Yes we have. We ordered it from some online panelling company but it's all the same stuff,

Looks great! We had to add a skirting board and dado rail as well but really pleased with the results. Hides a multitude of sins on the 100+ year old walls.

Some purists will say it needs to be "proper" wood but honestly once it's painted nicely you can't tell the difference.

Thanks for that. I think you can use look no nails to stick it on with ?

I have MDF panelling everywhere. Hall, bathroom, utility, WC. Not the Wickes stuff but similar. It is really easy to clean, paint goes on great and you can easily change the colour of the panelling without having to paint the walls or ceiling.

Where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking? Thank you

@Ewandreams the carpenter that did our kitchen got it from a trade supplier. It comes in full size sheets like plasterboard. We had to buy several sheets to make it worth while which is why we have ended up using it all over.

Thank you I'll ask my carpenter if he can source this.
