Has anyone used either of these colours - and if so, would you mind posting a picture? I'm thinking of using one of them in our bedroom, and it would be really helpful to see how light they come out, how they look in direct sunlight/in shade/in artificial light, etc!

If it makes any difference, we'll have white ceiling and trim, a white built in wardrobe along one wall (which could be any shade of white as it's being built right now and the carpenter can spray it any colour), and oak bed/bedside tables. All quite simple and modern (but Scandi/Ercol-style modern with lots of wood and natural materials, rather than shiny chrome and glass!).

You need to get samples and put them in your room, no one else’s pics will do, becayse it’s all about the lighting in your room.

Yes, I know that, and I've just ordered some! But there's no harm in asking how other people have found them, is there?

I’ve used Dix Blue as a tester, but have since painted over it, so can’t share a photo. I thought it had really strong 1960s vibes. I liked the colour, but didn’t feel it would work in my early Victorian house.

I think it would go very well with the furniture and style you’re describing here.

Interesting you think it has 1960s vibes, Crazzzycat, as our house was built in 1968! We have a very large picture window in our bedroom, which lets a lot of light into the room in the mornings, so I'm hoping that will complement these ambiguous greeny blues.

(What colour did you go for in the end?)

Sounds like it would be a really good fit in your house!

In the end I went for an almost black wallpaper with a big botanical print on one wall and painted the rest of the room in Pink Ground. So quite different from the calm Dix Blue vibes I had in mind originally, but it looks fab -modern, but sympathetic to the style of the house

I've used Green Blue twice, sorry old houses so no pics and love it.

It does change a lot depending on the light and the room - can be totally green or greeny blue.

I do tend to a 1950s Scandi/Ercol style and it works v well with that.

I have greenblue in my spare bedroom. The light’s a bit rubbish now but happy to take a picture in the morning.

Thanks, Tattie, I'd appreciate that!

Thanks for the feedback Anna. As you say you have a similar style to me - what other colours have you used? I've got a lot of blues and greens in the house, which is why I was thinking of keeping it fairly similar in our bedroom (which is currently beige with dark red feature walls as we haven't redecorated in there since we moved in 11 years ago!). I'm ok with strong, dark colours (the bathroom is Hague Blue and white, with these tiles, but it's not a huge house, so I'd rather there was some continuity overall!
