How to attach Christmas lights around curved porch so they look tidy

Last year DH put some lights up around our circular porch looked ok when dark but in the day time looked terrible as he had used big massive pieces of big thick black tape all over the bricks. What can i get for him to use instead that does a job and looks tidy? .

Are there any smooth surfaces? If so you could try command hooks

Cable ties?

Think I tried command hooks last year and he got fed up as they wouldn’t stick outdoors to the brick 🧱. Will look up cable ties I am clueless as don’t want the black tape.

Just looked up would you have to hammer them into the brick or how do they work please?

Put the lights elsewhere. Do you have a tree or bush outside or a front garden wall or fence?

Well we have a curved porch door way so lights look really nice around it. Next doors front garden is a total mess and eyesore as they are doing some building work done so I don’t want to illuminate that. DH has just ordered a glue gun.
