I have a dormer in my loft with a large crittal-style door and Juliet balcony.

I need to put some kind of window dressing in to block the light (it’s a bedroom.

Can you curve a curtain track past the edges of the doors so a set of curtains can be pushed right to the sides of each door leaving them completely clear to open?

I have a wall of glass in my bedroom - it is a dormer shape, so triangular at the top and no recess to fit blinds or curtains. I had an electric blind fitted which just goes over the window. It is a blackout blind also. Expensive but the only solution I could have in a similar shaped window.

Could you fix blinds to the top of the doors, either Roman or Venetian type, to drop the full length but not obstruct the movement of the door?

Worth consulting a local blinds company for a site visit as I'm sure they will have seen similar before.

Would a rail with a swing arm work. Something like this. I know this one is unavailable, but sure there would be others around. I searched for swing arm curtain rod.

Get a door curtain rail. I can't remember the name, but it's like a rail on a hinge.

This might be what you could search for 'Adjustable Swinging Drapery Door Arm'

Look at Appeal Home Shading (this is where I got my blinds from), they do loads of solutions for this type of window.

A door curtain rail is called a portiere rod. If you get one that lifts as the door opens it's called a rising portiere rod (try saying that in a hurry!).

Aha, loads of options with portiere rod! Thanks so much all!

Bloody love mumsnet, always has the answer Smile
