Bath in a wet floor area

We're doing big renovations and my thoughts have turned to our tiny family bathroom (2.28x1.78m).

I love the look of freestanding baths but really we need a shower in there too. What do
You think of doing something like the pictures. Would it make showering awkward compared to a typical over bath shower? Am I asking for cleaning problems around the base of the bath in a limescaley area?

Does it matter when it's so beautiful?!? 😄

I’ve seen a discussion on this set up, on Houzz I think. The only person who’d tried it said she had to spend a lot of time wiping the bath after each shower so it didn’t end up covered with water markes. Depends how much watr marks would bother you.

Personally I would consider this set up but only with a built in bath a bit like this, to avoid water going all round the sides and back and so the side of the bath provides a bit of a splash barrier. TBH if it’s a family bathroom I’d choose a built in bath anyway:

If the top picture is the space you have then I would have the foot of the bath facing towards the window and the glass panel down the side on the left of the bath so you have wall then glass panel then bath then wall?

I have always dreamed of a freestanding bath in a kind of Jane Austen with plumbing fantasy. That fantasy does not include water marks 😭

We've got our freestanding bath in our en suite without a shower and the main shower downstairs. It's not perfect as the kids and we bypass our bathrooms to come downstairs for the shower but at least we can have a soak in the bath without interruption and not worry about water everywhere. Is there room for a separate shower somewhere else?

Yes, we'll have a shower only in our en-suite. This bathroom will be for kids/visitors/me to have a bath in. My in laws live far away but visit regularly, they need their own shower on their own floor so I don't have to stand on the other side of my bedroom door listening closely to avoid bumping into my FIL in his ancient PJs... again 😶
