Ikea farlov sofa

I’m hoping to replace our very old and battered sofas after Christmas. IKEA appeals to me as it’s easy to get replacement covers from the likes of bemz - with messy kids and dogs I need washable covers.

I really like the look of the farlov and would really appreciate any feedback from anyone that has one, particularly whether it is as comfy as it looks.

Obviously we will try it in store for comfort, but it would be great to hear opinions from people who have one TIA

I have the 3 seater and heartily recommend, along with the Bemz cover.
Pros:
extremely comfy - it's like a big single mattress. Would be great for a guest overnight if needed
pretty strong - it's been jumped on by kids and seems to cope really well
Back cushions doesn't need much floofing
Bemz cover makes it look like a proper expensive sofa
Cons:
It's huge so might be too big for a small room
needs the cushions tucked back every other day - the seat pad slides forward a bit(though could just be the way we sit)
The Bemz covers do shrink in the wash and afterwards doesn't look quite as good as brand new. I also struggled to get the covers back on due to shrinkage, and snagged it. The Bemz guarantee is excellent though and I got a replacement in a few weeks.

overall I'd say if you like the shape then go for it! Tip, if you are certain you want a Bemz cover, you can buy just the carcass and not the Ikea cover to save a bit of money. Not an option online but I think you can do so in shop. Wish I knew that.

Thank you so much - that is really helpful!

The sofas we have at the moment are pretty much the same size so I think they should fit our room, although we might get one 3 seater and one 2 seater.

Great to hear that I may be able to buy the carcass only, I am sure I don’t want the ikea covers - none of the colours would work so I will ask about that in store

Look at gumtree/Facebook for pictures of them for sale - it gives a good idea of how they look after a short while in use. We had an IKEA sofa once, not that one right enough, but after about 8 eels t looked like a sack of shit.
