Where to put the tv?!?!? (Drawing incl)

Hi all, I really need help with where to put things in my living room! We are due to have it all replastered and redecorated in jan. I am at a loss as to how to place the furniture. It al revolves where we put the TV.....

Option 1
Tv wall mounted in corner
Sofa goes on opposite wall and arm chair under window

Option 2
Tv wall mounted on chimney breast
Sofa along both walls

Option 3
Tv on wall opposite window
Arm chairs on same wall
Sofa under window

HELP!!!!!!

How about on a tv stand or wall mounted on an arm so it's in the corner next to the fireplace (opposite side to the piano)

I personally don't like them over a fire place (fire too distracting & tv too high)

I Wouldn't like it opposite the window

I agree with @WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants.

TV over fireplace is a no from me and the other options look awkward. The best place is tucked into that corner. Can you not put the tv on a stand or low table and have shelves above. That's what I did in my last house.

You could have matching built in shelves either side of the chimney breast, above piano height.

I agree that over the fire place just leaves the tv at a really awkward angle to watch.

I agree left of the fireplace is the obvious place, however I’m not sure how you can get a sofa to face it if you put it there - you can’t put a sofa along the kitchen wall due to the doorway? Unless the room is big enough for you to put the sofa away from the kitchen wall so there’s room to walk in from the kitchen and around the sofa.

If that doesn’t work then I suppose you could put the sofa under the window and then pull the Tv out on a bracket, so it faces the sofa better, but you’ll need a very extendable bracket and the bracket will be on show a lot (unless you plan to fold it back in every day).

Would this sort of thing be possible, then you could still build some shelves in too?
