We are renovating top to bottom and although I am excited and feel very lucky, I am finding it all a bit overwhelming. The thing that I am struggling with at the moment (and being hurried to decide on) is external doors and I wondered if anyone could help?
There will be a fairly good sized kitchen extension, and in my dream-world, I would have double height crittall doors. Budget however, says no. I've spent about three weeks googling Crittall style doors but there are so many and a lot of them have nothing more than the horizontal aluminium bars across the glazing to 'suggest' crittall and I was hoping from something that where the metal work is still very fine/thin. Has anyone found anything like this that doesn't cost a gazillion pounds? Open to bifold or open outward within a glass framework. Room height is just over 3 metres and width of opening is about 5 metres.
The other door I am looking for is for the juliette balcony in the loft. I really want a single, black framed glass door that slides across rather than the standard slim french doors. But although I've found pinterest stuff that sort of looks like what I want, I haven't actually found a door for sale that fits the bill. Anyone?
Please and thank you!
