Hi
I recently bought a 1930s property and was really excited to get in and start decorating. Neither me or my DP are particularly practical people, but we will give anything a go.
When we bought the house, all of the walls were covered in lining paper which is now beginning to come off. So far, we took the lining paper off in one of the rooms and the walls are in really bad condition (see attached pictures).
The old paint underneath is flaking, the walls are bumpy and in some places they are crumbling. We don’t really have the funds at the moment to get someone professional in to do the work, but we also want the decorating to be done to a really good standard. Obviously we can’t continue living in this state!!
Does anyone have any knowledge in this area or know how to tackle this?
Thanks
