We want to replace the light fitting in our dining area. Our current light is a bar with 3 spots pointing in slightly different directions. Pros: no-one's food is in shadow. Cons: it's glaring and blinds us with sudden reflections off our cutlery.
The light fitting is in the centre of the room, but the table is not, so it is very unevenly lit. This isn't an issue at mealtimes, but causes problems when several people are studying/doing craft/reading etc at the table.
Any suggestions for a ceiling light which will light our table brightly and evenly, without being garish and reflecting harshly?
