I have full length Laura Ashley tatton (pale) gold curtains in our family room, which have to stay. The room is north facing but light, as there is a big bay. The room is about 22 x 14, large fireplace. We do close the curtains, and then they make a huge expanse, but they are normally open and tied back. The room is used as a family room, plenty of toys in there, desk, tv. The furniture is all white. Dc sometimes eat in there so the sofas need to be washable or textured so that they hide some sins.

We are having a dark oak floor laid, and will replace our two sofas and put a large rug down. Our current sofas are cream and wheat. The nearest sofa to the curtains will be about 4 feet away.
I like the m and s abbey sofas as we have them in our sitting room, so I have been looking at their upholstery fabrics. I am only really seeing the greys as going with the curtains but I am wondering about the blues. Or anything really.
