What to put at windows

We have 2 sets of doors, each with a half height window either side in our kitchen plus one big window ... previous occupants had big heavy velvet curtains but now we've decorated etc I need to decide what to put back up ... curtains will hide the windows each side of doors so I'd prefer blinds, but I can't figure how to do ... or any suggestions / what have you done?

Are you overlooked? If you don’t need the privacy do you really need them? I’ve never had blinds (or curtains) in any of our kitchens but I quite like the openness and have never felt the need. It’s different for other rooms.

I don’t understand why you can’t just put blinds up. A set for the doors, separate ones for the windows etc.

Are they double glazed, or do you need something thick for the warmth?

Busy day today Shock

They are new windows so all double glazed ... neighbours can see us but only if they are in their utility room or walking up side of house (they are a little higher than us). Wasn't sure 4 blinds would look messy / expensive as I'd need 2 done like that plus the big window and curtains take up too much room? Voile perhaps?
