What colour bedroom with navy blue bed?

I’ve bought a lovely dark/navy blue bed & im stumped what colour to paint my new bedroom. I love neutrals & my house is pretty white with bold, scandi style furniture. I like some warmth in my bedroom however & loathe to leave the walls stark white.. 🤔

Thank you for any ideas!

The little greene stock colour range is lovely with deep cool colours. It's a bit butterscotchy, beigy, peachy, pinky, creamy and just sits in the background warmly complementing everything.

Pale yellow ochre? This would look classy and warm in my view. You need some earthiness/muddiness in it so it’s not a brash colour.

Primrose yellow.

We have a navy bed (it’s a navy with a very slight green tinge) and have Designers Guild Polished Cement on the walls. It’s a pale grey with a green/blue undertone.

I would also recommend looking at Paint & Paper Library “Architectural” range

Something in the muted greens would go beautifully. Olive/sage/khaki, that sort of thing. It’s a very calm, soothing and restful colour.

A pale yellow or cream would be lovely with navy blue.

Papergirl1968 · 06/11/2020 13:53

A soft warm pink or deep green like F&B Studio Green, or Vardo.
Which way do your window (s) face?

Might be a bit vibrant for the entire room, but a coral accent wall or coral accessories for a pop of colour would look awesome.

EmmaStone · 11/11/2020 15:24

I'd probably have a pale blue that tones in (maybe something like F&B Parma Gray, but probably even lighter).

Pink would be very on trend.

If you want to feel your room is more of a cocoon, I'd go for earthy kind of colours, moss greens, ochre yellows etc, althoguh I have to admit the colours don't hugely appeal to me, I prefer a brighter bedroom.

We have a navy bed. We have pale grey on most of the walls and the one behind the bed is a very light sage green. Looks lovely together. Otherwise I would've gone for a blush pink.

The colour Intuitive by Johnstone's- it's a beautiful neutral colour and would go perfectly with Navy Blue 🙂

Joas white, F snd B.

BasiliskStare · 12/11/2020 20:26

DS has a Navy Blue head board and Navy wide bordered Roman blinds - Elephants Breath ( F&B) goes very well with Navy Blue I think - a bit neutral but a fairly warm shade.

White

AzraiL · 13/11/2020 11:23

My bedroom is done in navy, wood accents, white and wheat/taupe. The taupe softens the starkness of the white. I would recommend leaving the walls white, having white sheets and breaking it up with taupe themed wall art/hangings, or cushions/throws with those shades in it. Looks beautiful. Also get some gorgeous large lamps for your bedside table. You can also get some neutral coloured candles or little succulents to add a touch of green to break it up a little further.

AzraiL · 13/11/2020 11:25

If you feel you need to change something about the walls, I would go for a white textured wallpaper, possible as a feature behind your headboard.

WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo · 13/11/2020 11:29

White for a bright classic look, or pale brownish mocha shade for something warmer.

Twinkie01 · 13/11/2020 11:29

The colour of dried plaster goes with navy, so a paint which is a sandy pink works.
