Framing Prints - Odd Sizes? Help, please!

I have a collection of prints and pictures I have collected or been given as gifts.
I have managed to find frames I like for the 'usual' sized ones that have been relatively inexpensive.

I have about half a dozen that won't fit into the frames available in IKEA, The Range etc or that are reasonably priced online.

I have a 'wrapping paper' picture from Present Indicative with the hanging kit but again I can't find those in odd sizes

Am I the only person who doesn't want to pay £25 plus for frames? Does anyone have a solution?

(I must remember next time (if ever!), when I am browsing in a favourite shop, to include the cost of the frame in that impulse buy!)

You could get a custom mount made to fit inside a standard size picture frame. Have a look at this website for options. The prices for the white core version seem pretty reasonable:

www.pictureframesexpress.co.uk/picture-mounts/

If you specify an opening size that is slightly smaller than the art work you’re framing, you can use masking/decorators tape to attach your art work to the mount. Then put the mount in your standard size picture frame and no-one will ever know that the picture isn’t quite the right size for the frame.

There may be other ways of attaching the art work to the mount, but I prefer to use standard masking/ decorators tape as it is strong enough to keep the art work in place, but not so strong that you can’t remove it.

Omg thank you for the link.
OP I'm very happy you posted this. I've been doing exactly the same 👍

I've been searching for someone who does this. Thanks I buy pictures from charity shops sometimes too of I like the frame and mount.
