Looking for the same carpet for all bedrooms. Needs to be fairly hardwearing, easy to spot clean, and a neutral but not too pale. Maximum about £25 per square metre.

We don’t have pets but we do have DC and we are fairly messy.

I have been to a carpet shop but get overwhelmed. I would be happy with a looped pile or a twist pile, but no jute/sisal type thing due to the difficulty in lifting stains.

I put down this range in Belvedere Ash. I found it hard wearing and easy to clean. Think it was £21/m2 if my memory serves me correctly

Thank you. I’ts lovely, i’m glad you’re happy with it. I think it is too pale for us, unfortunately. I am trying to be realistic about how we actually are, rather than who we might want to be. And we are messy, unfortunately.

We've gone for this. All opinions welcome before I place the order! In particular, on whether anyone thinks there is a pink undertone to it, as I am really trying to avoid that.

Not keen. Sorry op. Looks like a giant poo to me. Can't you get a bleach cleanable one? I'm following as in similar situation with disgusting children and even worse dog.

WellTidy · 02/11/2020 14:57

Grin Well, I did say all opinions welcome!

I'm not seeing the resemblance to a giant poo, but I will absolutely take a look at 100% poly carpets that can be cleaned with bleach Grin

We have laminate flooring in our bedroom.

tinkywinkyshandbag · 02/11/2020 15:31

I like it! We have laminate and hate it, cold and dusty.

WellTidy · 02/11/2020 15:36

glad you like it tinky but we're in the process of placing an order for amtico for the hall, playroom and sitting room. Cold and dusty is not what I am hoping for!! Yikes.

Oh I think Amtico is nice, and warmer to the touch. Our laminate is the old style put in by a previous owner.

WellTidy · 02/11/2020 15:52

thanks tinky I am reassured. sorry that you don't like your flooring though. We've waited ten years to put new flooring down - hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did to replace yours!

@WellTidy we have something very similar in two of our bedrooms, possibly slightly lighter. It’s been down 13 years and still looks great.

Please recommend me a colour and composition of bedroom carpet

Wow, that looks really nice. It looks brand new, not 13 years old. I am heartened!
