Clothes Dump

Does anyone else have a pile of clothes in their bedroom that aren't dirty, but also aren't clean? By my bed I have a pile of comfy evening clothes and jeans that can last another day...or two, depending on how lazy I am!

We're going to be moving house soon (hopefully) and our new bedroom is bigger than our current one. I'd like to have something I can put these things in or on that's not just a heap on the floor. Any recommendations?

A nice wicker basket ( though you would have to make sure there were no sticky out bits on the inside )

Dunelm are actually advertising bedroom chairs for this exact purpose and calling them chair-robes! I'd prefer the wicker basket idea though.

Or you could have a clothes valet

We have a blanket box at the end of the bed, partially used clothes end up on there.

By “evening clothes”, I’m guessing you mean comfortable clothes to wear out of work, not ballgowns 😊?

@BikeRunSki - I also did a double take on that - I am constantly worried about where to throw my evening gowns , gloves , tiaras etc when I get into bed - ha ha . Or indeed not.

@Zazathecat - I asked Dh if he wanted one of those - because for suits etc a good idea but owing to more WFH - fewer jackets etc to hang up - he probably needs a basket

@BikeRunSki Oh yes, we're very fancy here in the evenings! She says, wearing joggers, knee high bed socks and one of DHs old T-shirt's!

I'll take a look at those chairs and boxes, thank you!

I have an armchair that gets used for this. It’s not a very comfy chair but makes a cracking chairdrobe.
Ideally I’d have a more hidden solution, like hooks behind the door or inside a wardrobe. But I’d probably be too lazy to use them Blush

I use a basket and the top of my laundry basket, if the basket is full.
